Job Title: ICP Lab Technician
Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for a ICP Lab Technician for a reputable pharmaceutical company in Houston, TX. The ICP Lab Technician is responsible for the analysis of heavy metals and trace elements in raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products using the ICP-OES and ICP-MS spectroscopic techniques in order to ensure compliance with BRC specifications and cGMP regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform quantitative analysis of heavy metals on raw materials and finished products
- Perform assay of trace elements on raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products
- Perform routine maintenance and trouble-shooting on ICP instruments.
- Ensure that the annual qualification on the ICP instruments is performed
- Execute elemental analysis for R & D protocols as needed
- In addition to elemental analysis, perform general Lab analytical protocols: DT, specific gravity, pH, etc
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Years of Experience: 1-2+ years
Education: BS Chemistry or related
Shift/Travel: 2nd Shift, Mon – Thurs, 1:15 PM – 11:45 PM (10 hrs)
Compensation: DOE
