Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Lab Technician for a large manufacturing and production facility in Pasadena, TX. Candidates with polymer testing experience are encouraged to apply.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control analysis on raw materials, intermediate, and finished products.
- Evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of materials by use of Instron, TGA, titrations, laboratory ovens, wet chemical methods, and other established procedures.
- Accurately enter results and data into LIMS.
- Communicate results, issues, and updates to laboratory and operations supervisors.
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate laboratory equipment per the laboratory schedule or as needed.
- Assist and participate in special projects as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping and organization of laboratory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Years of Experience: 0-2+ years
Education: BS Chemistry or related
Shift/Travel: 8a-5p, M-F
Compensation: DOE
Assignment Type: Contract, possibility of permanent opportunity
