Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for a Lab Technician for a specialty testing laboratory in Freeport, TX. The Lab Technician will work together with other Lab Technicians and independently to test and evaluate customer samples and other chemicals related to the gas treatment industry.
Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Perform analytical testing by use of GC, IC, ICP, wet chemical methods, and other established procedures.
- Assist with the organization and set up of testing schedules.
- Maintain all laboratory databases with new results for record keeping and report generation.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment per the current maintenance schedule.
- Interact and communicate results and activities to Lab Management and Customer Service.
- Actively participate and maintain compliance with company HSE program and policies.
- Assist with raw material stocks, inventory control, and general housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned by lab manager.
Additional Information:
- Years of Experience: 1-2+ years
- Education: AS/BS Science or equivalent industry experience
- Shift/Travel: M-F, days
- Compensation: DOE
- Assignment Type: Long term contract
