Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations within a Quality Control laboratory environment. This is an entry-level role focused on maintaining laboratory organization, supporting sample and material handling, and assisting with basic analytical testing.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hands-on lab setting, performing routine tasks such as sample log-in, equipment checks, and general housekeeping while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and quality standards. This position is fully on-site and offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, log, and track samples and materials using manual systems or LIMS
  • Receive and document incoming chemicals, including maintaining associated records such as Certificates of Analysis
  • Transport samples, chemicals, and materials between laboratory areas as needed
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory consumables inventory and ensure proper storage of materials
  • Perform general cleaning and organization of laboratory spaces and glassware
  • Support routine equipment cleaning, calibration, and minor maintenance (e.g., balances, pH meters, safety equipment)
  • Assist with basic laboratory testing including sample weighing, pH testing, density, and refractive index measurements
  • Accurately document test procedures and results in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Organize and maintain laboratory documentation and records
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily lab operations and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed to support production and laboratory schedules

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred
  • Prior laboratory, GMP, or manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment such as balances, pipettes, pH meters, and glassware
  • Understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and cGMP is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as needed

Education:
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in a scientific discipline
Shift/Travel:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No travel required
Compensation:
~$24 per hour
Assignment Type:
Contract (Approximately 6 months)
