Job Title: Production Batch Compounder (Food & Beverage)

Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for a Production Batch Compounder for a premier developer of specialty liquid and dry ingredient solutions located in near the Austin, TX area. The Batch Compounder is responsible for the precise formulation, blending, and processing of complex liquid and dry ingredients. Candidates with a background in batch manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial food production are urged to apply.

Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • Produce specialty liquid formulations, powders, and botanical extracts in strict accordance with established formula batch sheets.
  • Formulate and compound finished ingredient blends, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
  • Prepare complex stabilizing solutions and gum-based mixtures for large-scale production runs.
  • Execute extraction processes utilizing both automated filtration systems and manual filtration techniques.
  • Conduct precise weighing and measurement of raw materials, ensuring accurate metric/U.S. unit conversions.
  • Perform visual quality checks and ensure all batch data is recorded and production paperwork is completed with 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Execute packaging tasks, including the filling, labeling, and weighing of finished goods for shipment.
  • Operate production equipment safely, including scales, mixing vessels, and forklifts.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with production supervisors to ensure timely completion of the manufacturing schedule.

Additional Information:

  • Years of Experience: 1–3+ years in a flavors, food, beverage, or chemical production environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; strong technical arithmetic and conversion skills required.
  • Shift/Travel: Normal manufacturing hours; flexibility for overtime or special production runs as assigned.
  • Requirements: Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads (up to 50+ lbs); working knowledge of BRC, SQF, FDA guidelines and GMP; strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Compensation: $28-35/hour DOE
