Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for a QA/QC Lab Technician for a specialty chemical plant in SW Houston. The primary responsibility of the QA/QC Lab Technician is to test hazardous and non-hazardous raw materials and to perform analysis on all final products manufactured. Candidates with strong analytical skills are preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Utilize a variety of analytical methods to test dry and liquid chemical raw materials and blends.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate HPLC, IC, LC, Potentiometric Titrations, pH, Density (Specific Gravity), Viscosity, Surface tension, Interfacial Tension, GC, ICP.
- Enter data analysis into ERP system for Certificate of Analysis generation.
- Participate in Lab Organization, Safety and Hygiene.
- Contribute to MSDS / SDS comprehension, general laboratory, and analytical chemistry aptitude.
- Adhere to Project and Process guidelines.
- Follow Chemical HSE protocols.
- This role will be also responsible for following and maintaining all laboratory protocol and duties, samples management and data entry.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.
Years of Experience: 0-2+ years
Education: AS/BS Natural Science is preferred
Shift/Travel: M-F, 8a-5p + occasional weekend work
Compensation: $20 – $22/hr, DOE
Assignment Type: Contract to Hire
